This was surprisingly easy to install. You'll need a Phillips head screwdriver, a small pair of needle nose pliers, and sharp scissors to install:- Start by removing the fresh water reservoir and the waste water reservoir.- You'll see 4 screws. All of these need to be removed. Set them somewhere safe.- Once removed, gently pull up on the upper half of the vaccum and allow it to hang to the side while you work.- Remove or loosen the phillips head screw from the white component that sits above the rigid plastic end of the hose you're replacing.- Gently wiggle out the old rigid plastic piece of the hose. You'll need to slightly lift up on the white component to do this.- Using your needle nose pliers, compress the silver spring clamp on the old attached rubber hose and slide the clamp up the hose so it doesn't fall off.- The rubber hose should now just pop off.- Compare the lengths of the rubber hoses on the new and old units. Using sharp scissors, trim the hose to approximately the same length as the old hose.- Wiggle the rigid plastic end of the new hose back into place and secure / reinstall the screw. Take care to ensure the rubber hose sits in the notch under the main hose and that you don't crimp or bend any electrical wires.- Move the silver clamp from the old rubber hose to the new one. Slide the clamp up far enough back that it doesn't fall off while you're working.- Reattach the new rubber hose to the plastic connector making sure to route the hose so it doesn't kink. This is the hardest part. You might need to gently pull up on the hose line to gain access.- Using your needle nose pliers, slide metal hose clamp back into place.- Gently place the top half of the vaccum back into place and reinstall the 4 screws.- Reinstall the water tank and waste water reservoir.- You're done! The new part fits just like the old one. The quality and durability look and feel OEM. Once installed, it functions just as well as the original. Considering a new unit costs $250+ this is a great value!
